Chassis - Philco 70 item #1444
Philco Model 70 chassis removed from a cathedral cabinet. Chassis looks in original condition with all tubes intact but is being sold untested as power cord was frayed so cut off (by me). Dial is in good shape and all switches work properly. Even has the 2 original copper can electrolytics often removed and sold separately. If you buy the chassis and want the matching speaker as pictured it is $25 additional (sorry but the speaker is not being sold separately). Expect insured Fedex shipping to be approx $25 East and $35 West of the Mississippi and it will be boxed properly for safe arrival.

Bendix 526C Catalin item #1442
Stunning Bendix 526C catalin radio from 1946. There are only two defects I can find in the case - one is a scratch on the top (catalin can be easily sanded and polished as the color and swirling go right through the material), the other is a small chip by the rear screw hole). The chassis has been restored to working condition but with most catalin radios their display is more important then their working condition Original dial and knobs in nice shape. The pictures do not do this radio justice as you have to see the beautiful marbleized green and black case to really appreciate its beauty. Go ahead take the plunge and buy this wonderful radio. As a special incentive I will include Fedex double boxed fully insured shipping (USA only) and a copy of the long out of print catalin radio collectors bible (Sideli) with pictures that will make you swoon including this radio.

Chassis - Philco 38-7 item #1441
One of my favorite Philco radios. This is a chassis from a model 38-7 from 1937. I took a picture with the dial lit up because it looks so great (sorry my picture does not do it justice). You can spin it around to tune in stations or push it in to engage presets. The chassis has been partially restored with new electrolytics, some other caps, new power cord and a safety fuse. I powered it up and the amplifier is working fine but the receiver section still needs more work. I knew the person who was restoring this and due to very unfortunate circumstances was not able to complete the repairs. I have this radio in a chairside cabinet in my radio room but it also came in other cabinet styles. Original knobs included.

GE E-61 Tombstone item #1438
Sharp looking GE Model E-61 tombstone from 1936. The cabinet is in very good condition (solid with no missing veneer) and the original finish is intact. I think a cleaning and some Howards will make it look perfectly presentable. The grille cloth is in good conditon as is the speaker and dial. Original knobs all acounted for and full label inside cabinet. Ok now for the bad news. The chassis looked complete with tubes but the power cord was missing so I took it out of the cabinet. It looks like one of the original can electrolytics is missing - C10 on the schematic. The other is intact but the leads are twisted together and not taped like they should be). Also the cap across the power cord is cut out of the circuit. A schematic was inside the cabinet (it will be included) and an "Old Tyme Radio Co, Silver Spring MD sticker was on the schematic. My guess is that this radio was brought into the shop for repair a long time ago and the repairs were started but never finished. If you are willing to complete the repairs on the chassis you will have a nice radio. This radio is shown in Bunis Antique Radios Price Guide 3rd edition page 102 with a listed value of $150. I think $75 is a bargain for this radio. If you want specific parts (cabinet, knobs, chassis, speaker) I will price them accordingly.

Books - Philco Radio 1928-1942 Ron Ramirez item #1429
A great reference book on Philco. Many hundreds of Philco radios documented by year of production with specifications for each model and 250 color and 200 black and white pictures.. Appendix gives tube line up chassis. Out of print and difficult to get.

Zenith L520-W Tube Clock Radio item #1426
Zenith Model L520-W (white) tube clock radio. The cabinet is in beautiful condition with just slight wear (a few tiny nicks in paint). The radio and clock are working perfectly. Everything looks to be original including knobs (radio and clock), back and full label and operating instructions on bottom. Don't think I have sold a nicer one and just in time for Christmas (sorry but to big to fit in a stocking).

Philco 41-225 item #1425
Philco Model 41-225 wood cased radio from 1941. Original finish worn on top and small area on side. Also missing 1/2 the trim piece on bottom but an easy fix. If you went to a frame shop you could pick up a trim piece probably close to the original and replace the entire piece. The 6 tube chassis looks dusty but it is in working order and picks up stations across the dial (it actually sounds very good). Plastic dial cover has a small crack. Original grille cloth, knobs and pushbuttons in good shape and full label inside cabinet. Nice radio for the price.
